The ‘I’m Registered’ mark

Building trusted relationships with my patients is critical to my woRegistered Chiropractor Ray Chanrk as a chiropractor. Central to this is being able to demonstrate my commitment to patient safety and the delivery of the highest standards of care.
It is important that I can signal to my patients and prospective patients that chiropractors are part of a regulated profession and adhere to a Code of Practice. This is why the ‘I’m Registered’ mark is so invaluable.
I downloaded the mark from the registrant portal for display on my website and social media channels. It was straightforward to download and easy to display and share.

The benefits of displaying the I’m Registered mark

Some people believe that a chiropractor is shorthand for back cracker, but of course, there is so much more to chiropractic treatment. Chiropractors assess the whole patient and consider carefully how treatment will affect patients depending on different factors. For example, by determining whether patients have underlying health conditions or take certain medications.

With this in mind, I display the ‘I’m Registered’ mark to emphasise to patients that, yes, chiropractors treat neck and back pain – but we are, first and foremost, trained and qualified healthcare professionals who take a holistic approach. We will always ensure chiropractic is the most effective treatment for a patient’s condition or make a referral, if necessary. Registered chiropractors are committed to ensuring patients get the right care. Importantly, the ‘I’m Registered’ mark sends a clear message to the other healthcare professionals that chiropractic is a regulated profession with a Code of Practice.

Patients are influenced by multiple sources when searching for a chiropractor – from personal recommendations to browsing social media and online reviews. Choosing a chiropractor can be difficult.  We can influence their decision by making sure we have clear information on our website, including our chiropractic qualifications and treatment information. The ‘I’m Registered’ mark is also an important addition to your practice website which sends a reassuring message to patients that you provide the highest standards of care.

Where you can find the I’m Registered mark

Chiropractors can download the 'I'm Registered' logo and poster from the 'I'm Registered' tab in the GCC Portal. I would encourage all chiropractors to download the I’m Registered mark and display it on their website and social media channels, spreading the message that chiropractic is a regulated profession and that people searching for a chiropractor should look out for the I’m Registered mark and check if a chiropractor is registered with the GCC at www.gcc-uk.org/find-a-chiropractor
