The GCC is seeking registrants who have experience and an interest in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) matters to be part of its EDI Working Group.

The Working Group is a key part of the GCC’s 15-point EDI Action plan which aims to ensure the profession is as diverse and inclusive as possible, providing equal opportunities for all chiropractors and the patients that it serves.

The purpose of the Group is to:

• Be responsible for the delivery of the GCC 15-point action plan, updating its actions and content to ensure it remains relevant and achievable within the requirements and resources of the GCC.

• Identify, resolve and report any relevant EDI issues and concerns to Council.

• Seek and/or offer comment and advice on the development of appropriate policies and strategies that enable the GCC to be a fair regulator.

• Create channels to seek and listen to EDI issues, helping to raise broader awareness about our priorities and progress with stakeholders.

Membership of the Working Group is open to all registrants and stakeholder organisations. We would be keen to have representation from registrants who identify themselves with any of the UK’s nine protected characteristics.

If you would like further information or to be part of the Working Group, please contact the working group registrant lead Philippa Oakley (info@oakleycoach.com) and tell us about your experience, interests and skills within EDI.
