The GCC Council has approved the first business plan of its new GCC Strategy 2022-2024.  

The plan outlines a range of activities and deliverables for 2022, all developed to realise the four aims of the strategy over the next three years.


GCC Strategy 2022-2024 aims

Aim One (Patients and public)

To place patients and their care at the centre of all GCC work.

Aim Two (Chiropractors)

To promote continuing chiropractic best practice, professionalism and value within the health and social care system.

Aim Three (The GCC) 

To regulate effectively, efficiently, innovatively and inclusively.

Aim Four (The Profession) 

To enhance the nature and form of regulation for the profession for the future.


Key GCC Business Plan 2022 deliverables
  • Publication of a patients’ experience report with its conclusions used to develop a range of patient and registrant outputs, such as guidance, toolkits, blogs etc.
  • Revision of the GCC Education Standards and Quality Assurance handbook
  • Upgrades to the GCC website, specifically the Registrant Resource Centre and patient portal.
  • Establishment of a new GCC Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group
  • Review of GCC Fitness to Practise processes, policy and standards against current, agreed regulatory best practice.
  • Increased efficiency in GCC operations.
