Demonstrating to your patients that you are registered with the GCC

Your details will now be available to the public via our Find a Chiropractor page.

You can also make use of the “I’m Registered” mark on your website, in your clinic and on any promotional materials. This mark is exclusively available for registered chiropractors in the “I’m Registered” tab when you sign into the portal.

Updating your details online (GCC Registrant Portal)

As a registrant, you can now sign into the GCC Registrant Portal. Here, you can amend your registered details, add/ edit practice addresses, record your CPD and complete your annual retention.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement for new registrants

Alongside the commitment to undertake 30 hours of professional development each year, new registrants have additional CPD requirements relating to clinical governance. You can find further details of this requirement on the GCC website at www.gcc-uk.org/CPD (Additional CPD requirements for new registrants’ tab)

Keeping up to date (GCC Registrant Resource Centre)

As a registrant and healthcare professional, you must remain fully updated and aware of all new chiropractic developments. We recommend you read the monthly newsletter and visit the GCC website regularly, particularly our guidance notes and toolkits in the Registrant Resource Centre.

Your registration fee receipt

You will find the receipt for your initial registration fee by signing into your GCC Registrant Portal page (Communications and Documents tab).

Spreading next year’s annual retention fee with Direct Debit

You can choose to pay next year's annual retention fee in monthly instalments through direct debit. Just set up a Direct Debit mandate on your GCC Registrant Portal page under the Direct Debit tab: GCC Registrant Portal

Communications

The GCC uses several communications to keep registrants informed of updates or changes to their registration:

  1. Email. Directed to each registrant from the registrations department, ie. CPD, annual retention and changes to the Code and guidance.
  2. Newsletter. Sent on the first Wednesday of each month, providing updates from the Registrar and Fitness to Practise guidance.
  3. Twitter (@GenChiroCouncil). We recommend you follow us for the latest developments with the GCC and the other professional associations.

The Code

The Code outlines the standards of performance, conduct and ethics expected of chiropractors in the UK. Chiropractors must meet these standards to join and remain on our register.
